Introducing the challenge

Chronic wounds are a global challenge, affecting millions of lives around the world. Among the multiple causes of chronic wounds is the high global prevalence of chronic diseases, which can have a direct impact on the body’s natural ability to heal. While cardiovascular and immunodeficiency conditions can slow wound repair, diabetes creates some of the most significant challenges to wound management.


The burden of chronic wounds:

  • Financial strain: Approximately 2-4% of healthcare expenditure across Europe is spent on wound care2
  • Venous leg ulcers: In developed countries, 55% of healed VLUs reoccur within the first 12 months of closure3
  • Diabetic foot ulcers: Approximately 24% of diabetic foot ulcers will eventually lead to lower extremity amputations4


The Snap therapy system is indicated for the removal of small amounts of exudate from chronic, acute, traumatic, subacute and dehisced wounds, ulcers (such as diabetic, venous or pressure), surgically closed incisions, flaps and grafts.

How Snap Therapy 
System works

The Snap Therapy System seamlessly combines the simplicity of advanced wound dressings with the proven benefits of negative pressure wound therapy, all within a discreet design. Its quick application takes approximately 10 minutes, allowing patients to return to normal daily activities.1

1) Mechanically powered
Our proprietary spring mechanism generates consistent, even levels of pressure. No batteries or lead wires to trip over or worry about. 



2) Simple collection process
Our proprietary technology gels the exudate that collects in the cartridge, helping to contain and control potential contamination and odour. The visual display shows the amount of gelled fluid collected in the canister. 


3) Efficient removal of infection material
Exudate, infectious material and tissue debris are drawn away from the wound through the tubing and into the canister. The Snap Therapy System draws exudate away from the wound into the cartridge, which uses a technology that turns the exudate into a gel to optimise containment.



4) Secure and protective environment
The dressing’s hydrocolloid properties help maintain a reliable seal even in the presence of exudate or sweat, providing periwound protection.1
