3M™ Microfoam™ Surgical Tape is a flexible foam tape appropriate for clinical applications such as securing dressings, added pressure dressings or when swelling or movement is anticipated.
Pulling or stretching during application may result in tension blisters as tape attempts to return to its original state.
Apply firm pressure to activate the adhesive and fully contact skin.
Acrylate adhesives are pressure sensitive.
To remove, loosen the tape’s leading edge.
Do not pull the tape perpendicular to the skin. For tape that is strongly adhered to the skin, consider using a medical grade adhesive remover to soften the adhesive along the peel line.
Stabilize skin and remove the tape “low and slow”.
Stabilize the skin with one finger at the peel line and continuously move it along the peel line (ideally in the direction of hair growth) to support the skin during removal.
Conformable: Multi-directional stretch to accommodate swelling and movement
Tape material: Elastic foam tape not made with natural rubber latex
Provides cushioning
