About the product
3M™ Betafine™ PBG Series Filter Cartridges are multi-layer, polypropylene, non-woven, graded-porosity filter cartridges ideal for food and beverage applications and high-temperature sanitization. These pleated filter cartridges are backflushable and feature Advanced Pleat Technology, increasing the usable filtration surface area while maintaining standard industrial cartridge dimensions.

3M™ Betafine™ PBG Series Filter Cartridges can be used with a variety of methods including hot water sanitation, autoclaves or other in-line cleaning procedures to significantly extend the filter service life. Featuring an absolute retention rating, graded-porosity structure and a large surface area, these pleated filter cartridges are ideal for prefiltration protection of final sterilizing membranes.
Thanks to 3M's unique Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) and absolute rating, 3M Betafine PBG Series Filter Cartridges can help reduce the size and number of filter housings required, resulting in significant total cost savings for your operation. The APT staggered pleat configuration increases the filter’s surface area and allows for greater contaminant loading between pleats at the inside diameter to fully use the surface area, providing a superior filter life. Proper use of our 3M Betafine PBG Series Filter Cartridges reduces undesirable turbidity and haziness that could adversely affect the color, taste and overall quality.
- Graded-porosity multi-layer filter media has a high contaminant holding capacity to capture contaminants throughout the filter media and help maximize filter life
- Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) construction provides an extremely high surface area with low initial pressure drop, resulting in a longer filter life
