I sat down with Tim Ruff, clinician solutions senior product manager for Solventum, to discuss exciting opportunities, resources and relevant content planned for physicians at the 2024 Solventum Client Experience Summit (CES). Here’s what he has to say about what physicians can expect and why they should join us for learning, collaboration and connection in Dallas, Aug. 12-15.

What can physicians expect to take away from Solventum CES?

Solventum CES provides a great destination to meet healthcare leaders, physician leaders, clinicians, health information management leadership and healthcare professionals in person. It is where you can network with industry experts, Solventum leadership and peers to learn about best practices and how health systems are tackling documentation burden and burnout symptoms with our artificial intelligence (AI)-driven capture to code portfolio of solutions, including speech understanding, ambient clinical documentation, clinical documentation integrity (CDI) and coding solutions.

What’s special from the physician perspective?

Attendees will have access to Solventum and physician led sessions and panels. There will also be networking events where clinicians can share how their organization has addressed problems affecting the health care industry, and actual solutions and approaches taken by world-renowned health systems. Physicians can engage with Solventum leadership and executives and solution and technology experts to discuss solution optimization, etc.

Any can’t miss sessions?

My personal recommendation includes a session with Dr. Matt Sakumoto, chief medical information officer, Sutter Health West Bay Region, titled, “Reducing EHR time through clinical documentation tools: A speech-driven efficiency study with Sutter Health.” Another must-attend session is an engaging panel of clinician leadership led by Dr. Travis Bias, chief medical officer and business director, clinician productivity solutions, Solventum, discussing issues that impact our healthcare industry. I look forward to getting a chance to speak with many of you in person. You can also find me at the Solver’s Expo at the 3M™ M*Modal Fluency Direct table.

What is your favorite thing about Solventum CES?

As the senior product manager for 3M Fluency Direct, I really enjoy meeting my customers in person. It is a tremendous opportunity for me to meet people one-on-one or in small groups to learn what clinicians and administrators like most about our solutions, discuss challenges they are experiencing and ideas they have for enhancements that I can bring to the development team to continue to improve our solutions. I get to connect with many customers over calls, but meeting them in this relaxed setting and in person is something I look forward to every year. The personal interaction is key to helping me better understand our customers and their specific needs.

Physicians wanting to learn more about reducing administrative burden and burnout to refocus on care are eagerly invited to join Solventum and hundreds of their peers and industry experts to explore how to make it happen.

There’s so much in store for physicians and others interested in solving some of healthcare’s biggest challenges. We look forward to seeing you in Dallas Aug. 12-15!
