Dr. Ashwin Pinto is joint chief clinical information officer (CCIO) at University Hospital Southampton NHS FT. Dr. Pinto qualified from Cambridge and Oxford University before specialising in neurology and neuromuscular disease. Dr. Pinto was in the first cohort of graduates from the NHS Digital Academy in 2019 before taking up his role as joint CCIO. Current digital transformation projects include structured data collection in outpatients (ambulatory care) and use of untethered patient portals to capture patient reported outcome measures (PROMS).
