Michael Ristau

Michael (Mike) Ristau serves as vice president for Solventum.  

Mike has more than 30 years of experience in business strategy, marketing, international business development, Six Sigma and multiple customer facing roles. At Solventum, Mike leads efforts to develop the strategic portfolio of the enterprise with a lens on customer and industry trends and the core capabilities necessary to compete in a rapidly changing global marketplace. He develops processes and teams to build a stronger international presence that includes market assessment, entry strategy, key partnerships and local team and talent development.  

On the marketing front, Mike and his team have developed core capabilities in thought leadership and digital demand generation. This work is aligned to how customers consume information in an always evolving media marketplace. 

Prior to Solventum, Mike has served in multiple roles in his 33-year Solventum career, serving multiple businesses and market verticals, including transportation safety, hospitality, commercial branding and government affairs. 

Mike received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire. He has a certification in strategic management from Columbia University and is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
