Now you can give your patients reliable securement and proven antimicrobial protection without sacrificing patient comfort.

Effective antimicrobial IV securement - without sutures.

The 3M™ PICC/CVC Securement Device + Tegaderm™ CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate I.V. Securement Dressing is a sutureless securement system that provides quick and reliable PICC/CVC securement and antimicrobial protection, without sacrificing patient comfort. It includes an adhesive stabilization device (ASD) plus an antimicrobial (CHG chlorhexidine gluconate) IV securement dressing. It’s the only transparent CHG dressing proven to reduce catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSIs) and vascular catheter colonization that aligns with evidence-based guidelines and practice standards.

Designed with clinicians and patients in mind, the 3M™ PICC/CVC Securement Device + Tegaderm™ Chlorhexidine Gluconate I.V. Securement Dressing is an ideal alternative to sutures. It is proven to provide reliable PICC/CVC securement by securing IVs quickly and effectively, helping to eliminate the unnecessary financial, physical and emotional costs of suture-related needlestick injuries (NSIs).

Help to reduce risks across extraluminal access points

Help to reduce risks across extraluminal access points

Use the 3M™ PICC/CVC Securement Device + Tegaderm™ CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate I.V. Securement Dressing to secure PICCs and short-term CVCs without the use of sutures. This product accommodates the majority of single, double and triplelumen PICC and short-term CVC catheters up to and including 12 French.

A non-CHG version, the 3M™ PICC/CVC Securement Device + Tegaderm™ I.V. Advanced Securement Dressing, is also available.

The securement device contains a silicone adhesive that can be repositioned upon initial application but then holds securely and removes gently without alcohol. To make application easy, the securement base has visual cues and no mechanical doors or wings. The water-resistant soft cloth material of the securement device is conformable and perforated for additional breathability.

The 3M™ Tegaderm™ CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate I.V. Securement Dressing has an integrated chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) gel pad. It is the only transparent dressing cleared and proven to reduce CRBSIs and vascular catheter colonization. It provides immediate and continuous antimicrobial protection for up to 7 days with a highly breathable transparent film that offers a waterproof, sterile barrier against external contaminants*. Both the film and the CHG gel pad remain clear for continuous site observation.

A reinforced stabilization border lines the edge of the dressing to maximize securement, breathability and wear time. A conforming keyhole notch allows catheter lumens to fit better and stay in place, and the conforming edge border uses technology designed to reduce edge-lift. A securement tape strip with a notch promotes consistent application and enhances stabilization, and a documentation tape strip pre-printed for document dressing changes provides additional securement. Perforations around the keyhole notch allow it to conform around a wide variety of catheter sizes and types, while perforations on the securement tape strip aid with dressing removal.

*In vitro testing shows that the film provides a barrier against viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger while the dressing remains intact without leakage.
