An advanced solution for Temporary Abdominal Closure (TAC)

An advanced solution for Temporary Abdominal Closure (TAC)

Whether your patient has experienced a traumatic injury or requires sepsis management, the method of temporary abdominal closure (TAC) you choose may play an important role in positive clinical and economic outcomes.2

Designed for open abdominal wounds with exposed viscera, such as abdominal compartment syndrome, the 3M™ AbThera™ Advance Open Abdomen Dressing temporarily bridges the abdominal wall openings if primary closure is impossible or you need to make repeat abdominal entries. This dressing features 3M™ AbThera™ Advance Perforated Foam, which medially collapses under negative pressure and actively helps draw wound edges together. Use the dressing in a closely monitored hospital area such as the Intensive Care Unit operating theater.

Actively removes fluid

Actively removes fluid

By providing an active temporary closure system designed to remove fluids, draw wound edges together and help to achieve primary fascial closure, AbThera Therapy protects your patients’ abdominal contents from external environment.

Provides separation and protection

Provides separation and protection

Providing separation between the abdominal wall and viscera, the 3M™ AbThera™ Fenestrated Visceral Protective Layer protects your patients’ abdominal contents while the 3M™ V.A.C.® Drape further isolates the bowel and other abdominal contents from the external environment.

Provides medial tension
