Promogran Prisma Matrix with ORC and Silver is cleared for use with 3M™ ActiV.A.C.™ Therapy System and its associated foam dressings: 3M™ V.A.C.® Granufoam™ Dressing and 3M™ V.A.C.® Simplace™ Dressing. These foam dressings can be used with either 3M™ V.A.C.® Drape or 3M™ Dermatac™ Drape.* Studies have shown that the Promogran Matrix Family of collagen dressings: Are cost effective and have the potential to lower the cost of total treatment(3) Can significantly increase the number of wounds closed(1)(2) When used early in wound management, may lead to improved success rates(4-7) The use of Promogran Prisma Matrix has been shown to lower the rate of withdrawals due to wound infection in an RCT(5) Promogran Prisma Matrix provides an effective bacterial barrier against common wound pathogens in vitro due to the antimicrobial properties of silver(8) Promogran Prisma Matrix be used in combination with ActiV.A.C. Therapy System and its associated foam dressings, 3M™ V.A.C.® Granufoam™ Dressing and 3M™ V.A.C.® Simplace™ Dressing. These foam dressings can be used with either 3M™ V.A.C.® Drape or 3M™ Dermatac™ Drape.* Promogran Prisma Matrix is comprised of a sterile freeze-dried composite of 44% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), 55% collagen and 1% silver-ORC with 25% w/w ionically bound silver, a well-known antimicrobial agent. In the presence of exudate, Promogran Prisma Matrix transforms into a soft, confirmable, biodegradable gel, and thus allows contact with all areas of the wound. The dressing helps create a moist wound bed and an environment that supports wound healing. During dressing changes it is not necessary to remove any residual dressing. Note: When using Promogran Prisma Matrix in combination with ActiV.A.C. Suggested Applications

•Promogran Prisma Matrix, when used without ActiV.A.C. Therapy System, is intended for the management of exuding wounds. Under the supervision of a health care professional, Promogran Prisma Matrix may be used for the management of: Diabetic ulcers, Venous ulcers, Pressure ulcers, Ulcers caused by mixed vascular etiologies, Full thickness and partial thickness wounds, Donor sites and other bleeding surface wounds, Abrasions, Traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention and Dehisced surgical wounds.* *Please refer to Instructions For Use for full application instructions
•Promogran Prisma Matrix may be used under compression therapy with healthcare professional supervision.
•Promogran Prisma Matrix, when used with the ActiV.A.C. Therapy System is intended for the management of exuding wounds.
